In recognition of National Apprentice Week, we’re profiling several CSC apprentices. Meet Ashley Kellett, below, and find links to other apprentice stories at bottom.
Before I started at CSC, I was working in a local shop while I was studying my Level 3 in IT. After a year so, I had obtained my Level 3 and I was looking at what my options were and what I could do to continue developing myself in the field I love (Technology) and start my journey into the working world. I had been franticly searching and taking any advice and work I could get, but with every passing day I felt I was losing hope for ending up in my ideal career of Tech support.
I’m pleased to say that now seems like a distant memory now since joining CSC as a Level 4 IT Apprentice, but it’ll forever upheld in my mind where I was a few years ago. I feel very lucky to be working in a global IT organisation and also pleased that I submitted by CV. I felt at ease during the recruitment process including the interview stage.
From my first moments of entering CSC Chorley I was astonished with the environment inside and that the staff couldn’t have been happier to provide help/assistance with anything and everything, truly amazing! I can’t begin to thank all the CSC staff enough for this opportunity to train and develop myself into the person I always wanted to be.
I am now fixing Wintel X86 Server incidents as part of a great team. Who knows wat the future holds!
